He's so popular & has so many patients that there can sometimes be a wait to see him in the Rockledge office, but it's worth it because he doesn't rush when he's with you. Dr Darlington was personable and professional. The results of my cataract surgery was perfect and painless.

I was pleased with my experience with Dr Straut and staff. I was taken on time, the male and female nurses were courteous and professional, the eye exam was painless, Dr Straut explained the results of the exam and he removed some irritating bottom eye lashes and the scheduling clerks provided me with convenient times and dates for my next appointment.

Very thorough with everything and discussed all options and time frame for the procedures. No questions left unanswered. Great Dr.!!!

Didn’t have to wait long at the Palm Bay office which is an improvement over Melbourne office. Dr. Straut, as always, listens, answers questions, & seems interested & glad to do those things.

The Doctor was excellent. The person who 1st assisted me, her name is Sue was excellent. But, the 2nd person who assisted me her name is Christine or Kristine was not not nice. I requested for them to check my eyes for new prescription glasses. She said with hesistance that she will do it but added they don't normally do it, etc., etc. During the process she was very rude to me. I was tempted to tell her if she was not in the good mood then she can get another person. Instead I asked at the front desk for me to talk to a manager which they did. I told the manager about what happened. I told her to talk to employee because she needs attitude adjustment. Maybe she was tired working all day but still she should show good attitude to their patients. Other than that bad experience

Before my 1st visit to the office I knew deep in my ❤️ I was in good hands. Both my daughter and myself realized my prayer was answered on 03.10.25 All medical representatives from arrival to exit and Dr. Darlington an A + to Atlantic Eye Clinic.

I am so grateful that Dr. Darlington would accept the task of attempting to save my eyesight for me. I am a 91 year old woman caring for a 95 year old veteran who is on 100 percent disability. Believe me when I say I was very careful when I researched an eye doctor. I read Dr. Darlingtons credentials, I spoke to many people who had positive results and spoke to my GP who highly recommended Dr. Darlinton. Even though I was confident in my selection, I was terrified the day of surgery. Dr. Darlington is a very talented eye surgeon. I came for Dr. Darlington to evaluate whether I had glaucoma. I underwent a few tests before seeing him. He quickly evaluated the data, took additional measurements and gave me a clear and succinct diagnosis and a plan going forward. Very complete and satisfactory.

Personnel seemed detached and impersonal. Dr. Seemed more interested in signing me up for surgery than explaining my test results I had to ask him what my numbers were. on for my glaucoma test .He never took five minutes to go over any testing results. Set on the stool across from me ..never asked my name .. never explained anything .I would to cancel my May 16 appt and I am going to request my records and go for a second opinion .

I feel comfortable that if I had an eye emergency Dr Darlington would be my advocate. Our appointments are very quick and he's extremely busy but my conditions are stable so I'm ok with that. If and when I need more time, I trust he will be there for me.

OFFICE HAS PERSONNEL THAT IS VERY, VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. MY WAIT WAS NOT LONG AT ALL, GOT RIGHT IN FOR MY TESTING. ONLY PROBLEM I HAD WAS TRYING TO FIND OUT WHEN MY LAST SCRIPT WAS FOR GLASSES. WOMAN AT DR DARINGTON'S OFFICE SAID SHE COULD NOT GIVE ME THAT INFORMATION. I COULD NOT REMEMBER WHEN I HAD THE EYE TEST AND IF MY PROBLEM WAS WITH GLASSES NEEDING ADJUSTMENT OR VISION. I HAD THE TEST WITH COVERING EACH EYE WITH THE PATCH AND YOUNG LADY SAID THAT WAS GOOD ENOUGH I COULD SEE WELL. DECIDED NOT TO HAVE EYE TEST. MY GLASSES ARE FOR NEAR AN DISTANT VISION. WENT TO COSTCO TO HAVE GLASSES ADJUSTED AND ASKED THE WOMAN ABOUT LAST SCRIPT. I DECIDED I SHOULD GET NEW GLASSES AS I WAS HAVING THEM ADJUSTED TOO MUCH AND MY VISION WAS AFFECTED. WOMAN GAVE ME THE PRINTOUT AND IT SHOWED 3 YEARS AGO. WE TALKED AND SHE SAID I COULD NOT GET NEW GLASSES AT COSTO AS I HAD MY EYE TEST AT DR DARLINGTON'S OFFICE ON 3/14/22 AND IT EXPIRED 1 YEAR FROM THAT DATE ON 3/14/23 PER DR DARLINGTON'S OFFICE. I ASSUME I WOULD HAVE HAD TO GET AN EYE EXAM BEFORE I COULD GET NEW GLASSES AT COSTCO AND SHE SAID YES. COSTCO WOULD NOT LET ME BUY GLASSES THERE BECAUSE OF EXPIRATION DATE. I NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE AND NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A THING. NOW I AM AT A LOSS AS TO WHAT TO DO. DON'T THINK MEDICARE WILL PAY FOR ME TO MAKE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT TO GET EYE TEST TO BUY NEW GLASSES. SUCH A DISPPOINTMENT FOR ME. IRONICALLY I HAD INTENDED TO GET AN EYE TEST WHILE I WAS THERE BUT DECIDED TO WAIT AND HAVE GLASSES CHECKED FIRST. CUSTOMERS SHOUD BE AWARE OF THIS PROCEDURE AHEAD OF TIME. I WAS TOLD THIS IS IS WITH ANY OUTSIDE EYEGLASS BUSINESS AS IT IS ON THEIR COMPUTERS.

He was very thorough and nice

The eye exam went well and surprisingly I didn’t have the long wait that I previously had experienced.

I recently had cataract surgery and I elected to have the refractive lens inserted. Dr. Darlington (and his excellent team) is one the most superb professionals I’ve ever encountered. I have had two hernia operations and a knee surgery and this procedure is by far the most amazingly simple procedure ever. If you’re going to have the cataract procedure anyway you might as well get the lenses. The results are truly amazing - my vision is so vivid it’s hard to describe- And the other day I bought some great new sunglasses and just put them on as I left the store- something I haven’t been able to do for in many years! I thank him the Atlantic Eye team enough - very much improved my lifestyle!

I love Dr. Eric Straut and have been his loyal patient for many years. I find him as knowledgeable, caring and friendly. At my recent appointment, I experienced a very short wait for his services. He even completed extra testing when I mentioned a concern I had!

I liked the hand shake. No one does that any more. Dr was efficient and offered clear, concise explanations on my eyes and the procedure. One suggestion. Maybe I failed to communicate or maybe it’s impossible, but I would have liked just an idea on the upcoming cost, like before insurance, or minus what Medicare supplies.

Everyone was professional. Dr Mandese went over the results of my tests and his evaluation of the health of my eyes. His evaluation of my eyes was not rushed. He answered all my questions all the while not making me feel I did not have his full attention. In all a great group of people.

Everything was just perfect - I came in for a routine eye exam and to get a new glasses prescription and they recommended I get eye surgery to correct my vision. Just had the surgery and from day one had 20/20 vision! It’s really a very remarkable experience!

I was able to update my patient data online. I arrived on time. Seamless check-in. Promptly, Jen welcomed me and brought me into an eye exam room for initial eye assessments. She was efficient, very capable and pleasant. She put drops in my eyes several times, explaining what they were for each time. I remained in the same room for the drops to take effect. A few minutes later Dr. Mandese came in - always with a friendly face and warm greeting! His exam of my eyes was thorough. Eyes are healthy! (A bit of a contact lens script change - amazing what a difference in visual acuity can come from a small change.) Both Jen and Dr. Mandese explained conditions well and offered to address any questions and/or concerns. Then, on to check out and an appointment for next year. Great location. Easy parking and entry. Spacious waiting room. Clean office and facilities. Attentive and helpful staff. We need healthy eyes and clear vision; this place and team can assist in making that happen.

Dr. Mandese has closely followed my medical situation and thoroughly explained what was happening and any reasons for concern. He is professional, kind, campassionate and very thorough. Dr Mandese is the only doctor who can pluck my eyelashes. I have a rear ( bullous Pemhigoid ) in my eyes. I have had ever Doctor Try. Why can he teach other Doctors how to pluck them the eight way.? They all have the same equipment.

My pacemaker gave you some difficulty and forced my surgery to be postponed a week.You called to tell me the pacemaker equipment you needed available for my surgery arrived at your facility, and surgery was rescheduled. The anestiologist was unfamiliar with my pacemaker model, and that gave him some difficulty. It was eventually resolved, and surgery began. Recovery went well. Dr Darlington did a fine job.
