Dr. Straut and his great team of ladies were kind and helped keep me calm as I have anxiety and for only the second time at an eye doctor I did not have an anxiety attack! He figured out the cause of my eye pain quickly. I look forward to coming back for my next appointment!

The entire process, from my first eye exam to the first follow up appointment after the cataract surgery was great. I scheduled the appointment because I thought I might be developing a secondary cataract in my left eye. The tech took me back early and conducted the most thorough eye exam I have ever had. When she checked my vision to see how my prescription was doing, she had me corrected to the clearest vision I believe I have ever had. She was extremely proficient. Dr. Mandese examined my eyes and gave me his diagnosis. I have been using him since my cataract surgery and will continue to see him in the future.

The only reason this review is not 5 stars is because of their parking situation. I'm a very good and experienced driver and I had difficulties with their site. A vehicle had blocked the lane that circled behind the building and I was forced to reverse in a very tight s curved spot. Furthermore, there was a brand new vehicle (legally parked) on my other side making it almost impossible to get out. Eventually, I had to drive my rear right tire on top of the s curve curb to get out. Luckily, I drive an SUV, but I don't believe a sedan would not fair very well. They need to address this because their patients are vision impair and would have a more difficult time navigating the same situation.

Overall, this was a good complete and thorough visit, Dr Straut is really good in explaining what is happening with my vision and what the next steps might be. I have confidence in him. However, I need to comment on the staff. They appear to be bored with their jobs. No one smiles. Everything is done quickly in dull routine with limited interaction other than going through the motions. It seems as if they do the same procedures so often that they forget there are patients to interact with. There’s a coldness with them and, frankly , in the aging facility. I like dr Straut and will return but with hope there’s more “spirit” all around.

Dr Darlington did a laser to remove a cloudy condition in a cataract replacement lens from several years ago. It all went well he and his staff are very efficient and courteous. Very thorough Dr but a very long wait (3 hrs)

Not happy with the long wait. Dr. Darlington said he’d been out for 5 weeks, well there must be a more efficient way to catch up!!??

So it took 2 1/2 hrs from the time of my appointment and when I walked out the door. No procedures, just in a couple different waiting rooms and couple eye tests; and FINALLY met up with Dr.Darlington. I complained to him about the long wait. He said he’d been “out” for 5 weeks!!?? There must be a more efficient way!!????

Great visit. This doctor was so eager to answer questions .. and he told me my eyes are in good shape. I recently decided to leave the doctors office I was with for several years when the person at the check in was rude.. She told my copay was $15 .. but then she said I have a copay of $55 for a glare test.. I had never heard of that, was not told I was having a glare test and when I asked.. she was very rude.. and told me I would have to wait for the techs to get off break for the answer.. I decided.. even though I was very happy with my doctor.. I would not put up with her attitude.. I continued with that visit.. told my doctor what happened.. but not going back... She did me a favor because I love Atlantic Eye.. Dr Straut explained what a Glare test is.. and also said.. they don't charge for it. So I believe I was being milked at Tres Vision.. thats my opinion..

I felt I received good care, but today's visit took longer than I expected. I was called to the back quickly, and given one test, but then I was left waiting for nearly an hour while other patients in the waiting room came and went around me. I felt I might have been forgotten, so I asked about my position in the sequence and was told that patients were seen in the order of their appointments and the sequence might look strange because not everyone was getting the same tests, but they would check. Within minutes I was seen. Dr. Straut is very attentive and very good at answering questions and explaining things. I always feel like I leave with a better understanding of my condition.

Dr. Straut was able to pinpoint the problem that 2 months of several doctor visits and 3 visits to the ER and hospital couldn't!!! I finally have some hope!!!

Dr. Mandese is a true professional and I would not go to another optometrist. He is kind, compassionate and extremely professional.

Cataract surgery did not go well.. My left eye astigmatism was NOT detected and trifocal lenses installed do not function well, left eye is 20-40 vision at best… No excuse for this and I feel somewhat cheated.. Also, Dr Darlington needs to spend more time with patients to see what they really need, 30 secs is not enough… I was told his staff would explain everything but they were not very helpful in making the decision between monofocal and trifocal lenses… I was told “Just pick which one you want” and I guessed wrong!.. I’m sure Dr Darlington is a capable surgeon but things turned out horribly wrong for me because of the oversight!..

Dr. Straut and the staff explain what they are checking and the results along the way. I feel like my vision care is in good hands. I also love the ability to get an early morning appointment and the office staff are all friendly and awake!

Dr. Straut and his staff are attentive and kind. Dr. Straut is knowledgeable and explains things at my level of understanding without using big medical terms that I'm not familiar with. I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes and that means a lot to me because I work. But that does not mean that he rushes you out either.

The only negative thing I can say is the wait time. There’s always a long wait before the doctor does his thing. One, sometimes two hours.
