Comfortable and informative

Dr. Straut was thorough in his exam, as he always is, including providing me with insight regarding anything that may come up in the future given what he has seen in the exam. Dr. Straut provides explanations in a clear and articulate manner thus I always feel he has prepared me for anything that needs attention or may in the future His staff is so efficient, knowledgeable and caring that its is obvious that Drl Straut gets involved in their trainingl. I recommend everyone with any concern about their eyes should get an exam by Dr. Straut. I am so glad that he has been available to provide me with timely and complete service.

I have been trying to get cataract surgery in New york for two years. All I got was cancelled appointments. Came to Florida for six months over this winter. Called Dr. Darlington's office. Got an appt. In two weeks time. After that Three weeks later I had my first cataract removed. Two weeks later my second one was removed. Dr. Darlington did a great job and was a very good surgeon. Very happy with my result.

Dr. Straut LISTENS to your symptoms and provided me with a treatment plan. In two weeks I will see him again to check on the progress. He assured me that there were other treatments available for my eye problem. After numerous appointments with two other doctors, I left with the feeling that I had finally found a doctor who would solve my eye problems.

Dr Darlington is great as are the entire staff. All the testing was very efficient and fast. The technicians are so kind. They made me feel comfortable and not stressed. Only downside was the long wait to see the doctor. I think it was just the day though as they had some emergencies and harder cases to deal with. It was all worth it to see Dr Darlington.

A bit of a wait but worth it once the staff sees you.

Dr. Darlington is always right on with his diagnoses and the treatments always work out just fine. Atlantic Eye is a vast improvement over the last group! That guy put the wrong lens in my eye after cataract removal and offered a sketchy solution so I turned to Dr Darlington and have been happy since then.

My eye is doing great and I always tell everyone about Dr. Darlington and how awesome he is. One thing I don’t like is that every time I have an appointment I get there early and I have to wait over an hour or more to be seen. I’m not retired I have a job that I can’t afford to miss 2 hours of work from so that bothers me. Thanks!

I will never go back to this place! I have been to two appointments here and both appointments took over 2 hours! They seem to have no regard for their patients time and making them wait. I actually walked out of my second appointment without even seeing the doctor as I became so frustrated with the length of waiting time. What is a reasonable time to wait for a scheduled appointment?? I am always early to my appointments and respect the time of others. As far as I can see, this practice has 0 respect for the time of their patients.

Wait was a bit long but expected as new patient and they did accommodate a same day appointment after I called from a referral from my primary doctor. I called at 10:30 A.M. and they had me come in at noon same day. The entire staff and Dr. D were great.

I’m visiting the area and I woke up with something in my eye. Atlantic Eye Consultants got me in that day and Dr. Straut was able to get whatever was in my eye out.

The surgical procedure was quite streamlined the nurses were informative about what was to happen. They were professional and concerned with my care. While I was told I would not be totally under anesthesia, I didn’t remember the actual surgery. The next thing I realized I was asked to get up after a clear eye protector was taped over my eye. The procedure was quick and painless.

Everything was fine with all the data gathering and the folks who did it were well organized and knowledgeable. My only negative comment concerns this physical I need to undergo n Friday morning. I just had my annual physical with Dr. Ireland on Friday 1/9 with excellent results. This Friday session seems like a waste of time and money.

Dr. Darlington and his staff are a professional group of individuals willing to be with the patient as little as possible. The time spent with the patient is a minimum at best. Knowing that the hand of the staff member is with you and on the door knob trying to leave as quickly as possible is very uncomfortable for the patient and I assume this is the policy of the office so mentioning this lack of empathy for the patient care is also a matter of policy for the office. I will continue to be a patient , once a year is not hurtful.

Eye drops are always difficult with children and we have experienced our fair share over the years. The staff was so aware of the struggles and made it very easy for our child. Dr. Darlington performed cataract then goniotomy surgery on my left eye. The surgeries went perfectly, probably due to his 30,000+ eye surgeries worth of experience! Post surgery I had the normal annoying feeling of an eye lash being stuck, which only lasted a few hours. Then the blurriness started to go away and I could focus on distant objects and even read text before within 8 hours of the surgeries. The next day he examined my eye and everything looked and felt okay. The blurriness continued to disappear and more objects became clearer. I think that Brevard County is fortunate to have such an experienced eye specialist and surgeon available.
