Dr. Mandese is an excellent doctor. I have been going to him for around 20 years. The eye doctor before him found something in my eye and had no idea what it was. So I was very concerned and changed Eye Doctor and went to Dr. Mandese and he found out it was a freckle. I felt so much better and has been going to him ever since. I trust him with h my eyes one hundred percent!

Was sent to investigate the cause of my double vision. Dr. was very good explaining the possible causes and what steps to take going forward. Felt like he was very knowledgeable and a good people person.

Dr. Straut was excellent with my 8 year old. The information provided to us as new patients to the practice was honest and helpful and science/evidence-based. We felt confident with our plan for her strabismus/amblyopia. The office staff was kind and assistants were very knowledgeable. Eye drops are always difficult with children and we have experienced our fair share over the years. The staff was so aware of the struggles and made it very easy for our child. It was actually a Very warm appointment and I don’t think my child or myself will dread the next annual visit like we have elsewhere.

The staff is helpful, clear in describing what they are doing, and patient when I cannot decide which screen is better. Dr. Strait is always clear about my eyes, the condition of my lenses, and what can be done in the future if they get worse. Although the office was busy because two doctors were there, I still got out quickly.

Dr. Darlington performed cataract then goniotomy surgery on my left eye. The surgeries went perfectly, probably due to his 30,000+ eye surgeries worth of experience! Post surgery I had the normal annoying feeling of an eye lash being stuck, which only lasted a few hours. Then the blurriness started to go away and I could focus on distant objects and even read text before within 8 hours of the surgeries. The next day he examined my eye and everything looked and felt okay. The blurriness continued to disappear and more objects became clearer. I think that Brevard County is fortunate to have such an experienced eye specialist and surgeon available.

My experience with Dr. Darlington was not the best. He spent almost no time with me as a patient prior to the procedure and after. I left like a number as opposed to being a patient. My cataract sugery was on 9/23/25 my vision in the left eye has since deteriorated and will know probably require glasses to read small print. I am also experiencing pain in the eye which i never had before. It was only after the surgery that Dr. Darlington explained that i may have macular issues/degeneration and will not be able to have the 20/20 vision. So now i was referred to a Retina specialist who diagnosed it as as macular psuedohole and subsequentlly referred me to an optometrist to get tested for glasses. The optometrist has now put me on Prednisolone eye drops beause the eye was inflamed . The journey continues as i have to go back in to determine what glasses would work best for me.

Had an issue with my eye. Called Dr. Mandese’s office. They booked an appointment immediately, and I was seen within a few hours. After a careful exam they booked a next day appointment with a Retina Specialist for me to rule out any issue. Hoping for the best. Appreciate the immediate attention, thorough exam and follow up! I felt the care and concern of the entire office.

My appointment with Dr. Mandese was excellent. He is very compassionate and patient. Last year in July 2024 I had an issue with my right eye. Dr. Mandese authorized a CT scan to review so as to be sure there wasn't any out side issues that may have caused the problem. When I visited with him to review the information he told me that my vision was fine however he identified an aneurysm that I didn't know existed. Because of Dr Madese's keen eye my life was saved, 3 months later a 9+ mm and growing was repaired. So Dr. Mandese has my complete respect. He saved my life.

Dr. Mandese is the best! After spending over a week in the hospital suffering from excruciating headaches, double vision, and a lazy eye, I was discharged with no diagnosis. My wife had the good sense to make an appointment for me with Dr. Mandese. We actually went to his office right from the hospital. Dr. Mandese took one look at me, turned to my wife, and said that he knew exactly what was going on. However, he still took the time to do a full exam before he shared his prognosis. He is thorough, patient, and takes the time to answer all your questions. Even the "silly" ones. We left feeling hopeful, well taken care of, and with a treatment plan. I can't thank him enough.

I was disappointed that it took 45 minutes after my scheduled appointed time to begin my appointment. This is unacceptable. Too many people are being scheduled at the same time to see Dr. Darlington. This practice is being run like an out-of-control assemby line.

This was my initial appointment with Dr Darlington since being referred to him to treat my eye conditions. From the minute I walked into the office the entire staff and technicians were extremely professional, courteous and knowledgeable. After getting the initial eye tests completed by the different technicians, I was seen by Dr Darlington. He explained what eye surgery needed to be done to treat my condition and answered all questions I had. I was very pleased with all aspects of my appointment. Afterwards, I met with the surgery scheduling staff person who easily took care of future appointments.

Very patient, professional and knowledgeable about Cornea transplants. I am very pleased having him as my eye specialist. I highly recommend him .

Dr. Mandese is a God sent. I have had a pen hole in each eye and each time I went in to be seen he was on target. For example, I woke up with a small circle of black and I called to let his office know, but they were closed and I gave the on call person what was happening and she relayed the message to the on call doctor who was Dr.Mandese and about thirty minutes later he called me back and told me to be in his office on Monday morning at eight clock. He is kind, understanding and does not make you feel like you’re a nuance. He definitely gets five stars from me.

Amazing, in and out in just over 1 hour with 2 tests + doctor eye exam! Eye drops refills requested, and Hobbs had the order same day. Full disclosure: This has not always been my experience in the past, although always I've been happy with Dr. Darlington. Hopefully, it will be going forward.

After arriving for yearly eye exam was informed that Dr Straut was not in office and I had been notified the day before. However after checking my phone no call or voicemail had been received. Showed the woman at desk and she didn’t care and just said you’ll have to call and make another appointment! There was no acceptance of responsibility on the part of this office. Just a shrugged shoulder and annoyance on her part. I like Dr Straut and will return for his services but they really need to address office staff rudeness.

Atlantic Eye Consultants have really improved their overall operation. When I arrived, the front desk is as efficient as ever. I only had to wait less than 5 minutes before my first test. Then was taken to the second test immediately afterwards. Had to wait for about 10 minutes before the final exam. Dr. D arrived about 2 minutes afterwards. Along the way, every technician did a thorough job of explaining what was happening. The communication process between patient and staff was the best I've experienced. Outstanding customer service communication and listening! Dr. D was as usual his awesome listener, evaluator and communicator. I'm confident in our plan going forward.

I have seen several doctors about my eyes and not until I seen Dr. Mandese, have I felt like I received a proper diagnosis. He provided answers to problems that stomped others and finally referred me to him. God had a hand in picking him for me because I feel like I was listened to and finally told what was wrong. If you have a choice on eye doctors, you will be so much better off seeing Dr. Mandese.

Final follow up yesterday with Dr. Darlington, I do not feel that anybody listened to my concerns nor did I get satisfactory answers. Would not recommend.

Hi, I’ve been coming to Dr Darlington for about three years now and I had two corny operations and everything turned out real fine. He still working on my left eye, but he’s a very good very good professional doctor good of everything and what he does and I’m one of his best patience. He even gave me an I five on my hand which he shook instead of just bumping it so I’m a special one, but thank you very much. A matter fact I’ll give you a referral for it and that’s my wife so I’ll be needing to make an appointment for her And I’ll be calling next week to find out maybe what she can do to maybe have her eyes checked thank you very much.
