I suffer from dry eyes and Dr. Straut sees me every six months for punctal plugs. He is always so kind and thorough. I am grateful for his care!

Very nice

This practice wasted over an hour of my time. I requested a refraction appointment, the appointment was made I arrived prior to my appointment time. They were an hour late calling me back only to find out they were not going to provide the service that I had an appointment for and had paid for. They refused to complete my refraction unless they preformed a full exam. I explained that I had an another Dr that I see full time. I had my an appointment for a refraction and that is all I wanted. Some how that turned into I was at fault for not wanting a full exam. I never asked for a full exam and was very clear at the time I made the appointment. I don’t appreciate the attitude of the technician that they were a surgeon and somehow a refraction wasn’t important enough. Or maybe it was just her poor attempt at trying to talk me into services that I didn’t want or need.

I am a long time client of Dr. M. Mandese, and as always, very satisfied with my appointment. His staff are knowledgeable and professional, the exam rooms are clean and organized. Dr Mandese is always prepared and pleasant during exams. He takes the time to talk through any questions or situations, and is patient with any alternatives that may be available.

The wait in his office at NASA was sometimes greatly delayed especially fot the one day follow up, but that seems to be in line with the quantity of procedures He obviously performs. Alex, Carol, and Inasense are in the large front desk as you check in and out. Kimberly does the eye exam and pressure. I’m not sure if that’s when your eyes are Dilated or not. Luke takes you to the IMAGE Machine. A lot better Machine where they can put me in it without hurting me because of conditions that pertain to my body. I had an emergency with a small pieces of metal in my eye and called first thing Friday morning, the scheduling assistant was amazing and told me to come straight in. Waited about 10 minutes in waiting room and straight back. They took very good care of me and I could not be more impressed. Dr Mandese came in and wow what a professional and such a nice person, he went right to work. Located objects in my eye, removed them with no pain our anxiety. They proscribed drops and I was on my way. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful with scheduling follow up visit as well as check in on arrival! I was felling better right away and so relieved to have the objects out of my eye. Could not be happier with the entire experience. Highly recommend these folks and will be a patient for life. Dr D a biopsy of my eyelid this morning. He’s a great doctor and everything went well. It took him about ten minutes to a very slight cutting, and he was able to tell me that it was just a cyst and it wasn’t cancer and I was clear!

Dr. Darlington and staff did an excellent job of handling my cataract problems. Both my left and right eye surgeries were quick and painless with very little discomfort afterward. Visit went well and Dr. Mandese is quite pleasant. Didn't have to wait a long time and exam was fairly quick. Found out that my optic nerve is deteriorating - probably a side effect unfortunately from my MS. I would recommend Atlantic Eye Consultants and Dr.Mandese. My only suggestion would be to have any questions prepared before you forget to ask them.

Today's visit went very well. Everyone was very pleasant and professional. Because I had an early appointment, there was little wait time. I was seen by an associate within 15 minutes of my 7:50 appointment time. Dr Straut explained everything in detail and compared results with previous visits. All went well. Staff was helpful. Dr. Mandese answered my questions. My only criticism is the billing portion of the visit over which I doubt Dr. Mandese has much control. $75 for Refraction and "contact lens fitting" seems excessive. I have worn contacts for many years - no "fitting" was needed and there was no change in my Rx. My last Rx renewal cost $45 and my Rx was for 2 years. This one cost $75 and the Rx was for 1 year. Seems a bit inflationary to me. I guess everything is. Again, the staff were friendly, Dr. Mandese gave me as much time as I needed. The facility is bright and clean and there was plenty of seating in the waiting room.

I have been going to Dr. Darlington for approximately seven years. In that time he has performed four surgeries Also, I went to see Dr. Darlington one time because I could not see in one eye And he got me in to see Dr. Vaishnov because he knew I had a retina problem. Dr Vaishnov was a fantastic surgeon as well. The office is run like a well oiled machine. And the office staff is fantastic.
