Dr. Darlington is a very compassionate, understanding eye surgeon. I have already had 1 cataract done and am about to have a second one. I wouldn't have any other surgeon work on my eyes. He's the best.

Dr. Mandese is the best! After spending over a week in the hospital suffering from excruciating headaches, double vision, and a lazy eye, I was discharged with no diagnosis. My wife had the good sense to make an appointment for me with Dr. Mandese. We actually went to his office right from the hospital. Dr. Mandese took one look at me, turned to my wife, and said that he knew exactly what was going on. However, he still took the time to do a full exam before he shared his prognosis. He is thorough, patient, and takes the time to answer all your questions. Even the "silly" ones. We left feeling hopeful, well taken care of, and with a treatment plan. I can't thank him enough.

I was disappointed that it took 45 minutes after my scheduled appointed time to begin my appointment. This is unacceptable. Too many people are being scheduled at the same time to see Dr. Darlington. This practice is being run like an out-of-control assemby line.

This was my initial appointment with Dr Darlington since being referred to him to treat my eye conditions. From the minute I walked into the office the entire staff and technicians were extremely professional, courteous and knowledgeable. After getting the initial eye tests completed by the different technicians, I was seen by Dr Darlington. He explained what eye surgery needed to be done to treat my condition and answered all questions I had. I was very pleased with all aspects of my appointment. Afterwards, I met with the surgery scheduling staff person who easily took care of future appointments.

Very patient, professional and knowledgeable about Cornea transplants. I am very pleased having him as my eye specialist. I highly recommend him .

Dr. Mandese is a God sent. I have had a pen hole in each eye and each time I went in to be seen he was on target. For example, I woke up with a small circle of black and I called to let his office know, but they were closed and I gave the on call person what was happening and she relayed the message to the on call doctor who was Dr.Mandese and about thirty minutes later he called me back and told me to be in his office on Monday morning at eight clock. He is kind, understanding and does not make you feel like you’re a nuance. He definitely gets five stars from me.

After arriving for yearly eye exam was informed that Dr Straut was not in office and I had been notified the day before. However after checking my phone no call or voicemail had been received. Showed the woman at desk and she didn’t care and just said you’ll have to call and make another appointment! There was no acceptance of responsibility on the part of this office. Just a shrugged shoulder and annoyance on her part. I like Dr Straut and will return for his services but they really need to address office staff rudeness.

Atlantic Eye Consultants have really improved their overall operation. When I arrived, the front desk is as efficient as ever. I only had to wait less than 5 minutes before my first test. Then was taken to the second test immediately afterwards. Had to wait for about 10 minutes before the final exam. Dr. D arrived about 2 minutes afterwards. Along the way, every technician did a thorough job of explaining what was happening. The communication process between patient and staff was the best I've experienced. Outstanding customer service communication and listening! Dr. D was as usual his awesome listener, evaluator and communicator. I'm confident in our plan going forward.

I have seen several doctors about my eyes and not until I seen Dr. Mandese, have I felt like I received a proper diagnosis. He provided answers to problems that stomped others and finally referred me to him. God had a hand in picking him for me because I feel like I was listened to and finally told what was wrong. If you have a choice on eye doctors, you will be so much better off seeing Dr. Mandese.

I have been having issues with my eyes subsequent to my cataract surgery. I have been back numerous times having seen different practitioners in this group. Final follow up yesterday with Dr. Darlington, I do not feel that anybody listened to my concerns nor did I get satisfactory answers. Would not recommend.

Hi, I’ve been coming to Dr Darlington for about three years now and I had two corny operations and everything turned out real fine. He still working on my left eye, but he’s a very good very good professional doctor good of everything and what he does and I’m one of his best patience. He even gave me an I five on my hand which he shook instead of just bumping it so I’m a special one, but thank you very much. A matter fact I’ll give you a referral for it and that’s my wife so I’ll be needing to make an appointment for her And I’ll be calling next week to find out maybe what she can do to maybe have her eyes checked thank you very much. Dr. Darlington is an excellent eye surgeon. Among other things, he asks if you have any questions and listens to what you have to say. I feel safe and confident when he is performing cataract surgery. I will be having my second cataract surgery in a few weeks.

The eye exam by the tech appeared to be an act of major inconvenience for her. She tested the right eye in the usual fashion. The left eye was tested with ONE image only (which I could not see) and the exam was over. I am well aware of the process of eye testing. This feel far short of even the most rudimentary exam. This doctor may be a great technician but his bedside manner is atrocious. Condescending.

I saw Dr. Darlington due to a cyst that had formed on my eye. He removed it quickly and painlessly. I thought I would need it removed surgically, but he did it on the spot. He had a good steady hand and within 10 minutes, it was removed and I left his office. My eye had some redness to it, but within hours, everything had cleared up. I would highly recommend him if you have cornea or other eye issues. Thank you Dr. Darlington.

I have been going to Dr M for over three years and, despite the distance from my home, I have found the visits to be well worth it. Dr M is the most compassionate, competent and capable Opthamologist on the Treasure Coast. I had lived in Vero Beach since 2011 and had been a patient at all of the BIG NAME BIG BUILDING ophthalmologists in town. All of them had diagnosed my dry eye condition, but it was only when I saw Dr M that something was actually done to combat it. I guess the clowns in Vero Beach were more concerned with their next social outing than the condition of my eyes. I would recommend Dr M to anyone who insists on high quality, professional eye care.

Dr. Straut always stays on top of my eye care. Because I have had a problem in the past with my right eye, Dr. Straut sees me every 6 months to run vision tests and take pictures of the my eye to see if there are any changes. I trust his expertise and knowledge.

Excellent opthamologist and staff. Needed second opinion after cataract surgery regarding the need for two proceedures and a critical diagnosis from another well known doctor. Received the best eye exam. No cutting corners and took their time to make certain it was correct. Dr. Darlington informed me that my eyes are fine. It's the lenses of my new glasses that need to be corrected. The former diagnosis does not exist. Not only did he relieve my concerns, he saved me several hundred dollars. He is my opthamologist from now on!

I arrived 15 min before my appointment and wasn't seen until 30 min past my appointment time. Otherwise everything was excellent.

Dr Darlington has a thorough approach to addressing my concerns and leaves me confident with his experience and expertise. I know I’m in good hands. That makes a huge difference especially when it comes to my vision. I was also very impressed with his staff. Dr Strout is amazing. Very interactive, provides awesome and detailed description of options, and never makes you feel rushed. Asks multiple times if there's anything else he can do, or answer for you. He's a great provider. I wish I could stop there and make this a five-star review; however, two of the ladies at the front desk were beyond rude. I won't use names or descriptions, the practice knows who they are. The comments these two ladies made about a patient, and their rude demeanor and treatment of me just because I asked questions, was beyond the pale. They further spoke loudly about me, in a negative manner, enough so that I could hear them in the room I was waiting in two doors down. I'm sure other patients in surrounding rooms could hear as well. I spoke to Denise, the practice manager, about my experience three days afterwards. She did apologize for her staff. Dr Strout also experienced for the event in the moment; however, the experience has still left a bad enough taste in my mouth that I won't be back.
