The surgery did not work. It damaged my eye.The vision in my left eye is blurry with "floaters". I cannot read with my left eye. It is too blurry. My eye is much more sensitive to light now. Sudden bright light makes it more blurry. The surgery was supposed to to make my eye less sensitive to light so I could drive at night! It is worse now when I ride at night when my wife drives. I am afraid to drive at all! Also, I also sometimes get bright light flashes on the left edge of my eye. Dr.Darlington told me he had put in the wrong lense! He told me it happens sometimes! He said he needed to do another operation to put in another lense! And that he had to do it within 3 months or it would be too "healed"! He also warned me that not all doctors knew how to do it correctly! After what he did! What am I supposed to do now? My quality of life is greatly affected! Do you honestly think I'm going to let him do another surgery?

I disembarked on my last day of the Star Trek Cruise and my right eye became pink and exuded mucus like film. My experience was very good,. The staff members at the surgery center are all very efficient and pleasant. They make you as comfortable as possible. The surgery goes quickly. My first eye went very well, but the second was cloudy the day after surgery. Dr Darlington was not alarmed and recommended extra eyedrops, which cleared up the problem. Incredible experience. He's one of the few doctors I've had who actually listens. Also he was not offended when I brought up specific tests and diagnoses as possibilities from my own knowledge and studies. Most doctors have too much ego to allow that. He was thorough and efficient at getting to the cause and treatment. He communicates extremely well and has great bedside manners. His medical staff was very efficient and personable. The front office staff was more than accommodating and nice. I highly recommend Dr Matisse and this clinic. And those who know me realize that I do not give out such recommendations easily.

Sent back to the waiting room until 12:10pm and then brought back for another test with drops. My appointment was scheduled for 1:00 pm. I completed a test for peripheral vision and then waited and waited. About 3:30 pm I saw Dr. Darlington. When I was informed that the test did not conclude I needed an eye lift, I learned that Dr. D. was no longer going to be doing that type of surgery. I trust in Dr. Ds work and have been pleased with the implants received several years ago. My frustration is that a previous test confirmed I could get the surgery, the one on Monday past did not corroborate the same results. Three hours to learn I did not qualify this time and then to be scheduled with another Dr. in March is unacceptable.

So far I have had the cataract removed from my left eye. I was pretty nervous but I really had nothing to fear. Dr Darlington and his staff are top notch. As a patient of Dr. Darlington I’ve had a wonderful experience to date and expect it to continue into the future. Can’t imagine allowing any other doctor to do surgery on my eyes! He has a very professional staff in Atlantic Eye and the surgery center. I will never go back to this place! I have been to two appointments here and both appointments took over 2 hours! They seem to have no regard for their patients time and making them wait. I actually walked out of my second appointment without even seeing the doctor as I became so frustrated with the length of waiting time. What is a reasonable time to wait for a scheduled appointment?? I am always early to my appointments and respect the time of others. As far as I can see, this practice has 0 respect for the time of their patients.

Wait was a bit long but expected as new patient and they did accommodate a same day appointment after I called from a referral from my primary doctor. I called at 10:30 A.M. and they had me come in at noon same day. The entire staff and Dr. D were great.

My experience with Dr. Darlington and the staff at Atlantic Eye has been nothing but positive. Everyone was professional and answered all my questions. The scheduling of appointments for surgery and post-op were on time with very little waiting. Overall, and excellent experience.

I have been Dr. Mandese's patient since 2008. I cannot express how grateful I am to be under his care. I have several different ongoing eye issues and he manages them all professionally and competently. He is very knowledgeable and very caring His concern for his patents is always evident. I never feel rushed out the door He listens to my concerns with patience. I was blessed the day he walked into the treatment room 18 years ago.
